This Ornithological Drawer tells the story of an empty nest. When I had the opportunity to tour the back of the Ornithological Department many years ago, I was astonished by the beauty and death. I was struck that both could occur simultaneously. I associated the beautiful dead birds with parts of myself that I had to let go, in order to move on with my life.
